The power of three

3 sessions of coaching that will form your building blocks to success. 

You have the flexibility to choose how many blocks of 3, that you need. You may require one or more blocks to get to the outcome or feeling that you want. 

Why do I say an outcome or a feeling? 

You may have a specific task or project in mind and want to work out the best way to achieve that outcome. 

You may not be sure what it is that you want or need. In that case, you may want to work towards a feeling, which will empower you to act when you are ready. For example, you may want to feel more confident, comfortable in your skin, excited for the future, or ready to face a challenge.  

For some of you that will look like a straightish line:

There is no right way, only your way. 

What is my coaching process?

I could write a teachy description of what coaching is, but you can look that up online or in a textbook. I prefer a metaphor, and this one works for me: 

When I hit my mid 40s, I felt frumpy and low on self-esteem. The styles that suited my when I was 35 were not necessarily right for me now. I started researching what to do and spent time following midlife women on social media, buying books on style, and focussing on my wellbeing.

One of the things that I invested in was having my colours done, so that I could add some pops of colour to my clothes and makeup without looking unhinged. I love a good clear out and did a Marie Kondo of my wardrobe. Now I know that I can stop doing what most of us do, which is to have a wardrobe full of clothes, nothing to wear, and only use 20% of what is in there. 

This is a scenario that most of us can relate to.

I compare coaching with working alongside a personal stylist. An independent, non-judgmental person who helps you to define your style (who you are), work out the clothes and colours that suit you (what you want to do/be), and then helps you to declutter and organise your wardrobe/closet (how to get there).  

You are left with a capsule wardrobe (solid foundation) and knowledge of where your gaps are (what you have and what you need). That will inform your future investments. No one wants to keep buying the same pair of black trousers on repeat!  

At the end of the process, you will be confident to try new colours (ideas) and add great clothes to your capsule wardrobe, that all work with each other (transferrable skills). You will step out confident that you look great, feel great, and are ready to enjoy compliments (recognise your achievements and celebrate your success).  

I am NOT a personal stylist sadly, so cannot help you with your wardrobe dilemmas. But I do have the know how to coach you out of the corner and help you get on with the business of doing what you want to do. Time to dump the shoulds and get on with your creative coulds.

I used to think that stress and anxiety was just a part of who I am. I did not realise that my thoughts were driving how I felt inside. When I found out that my patterns of thinking and critical inner voice were holding me back, it was like a light bulb had been switched on. What is their purpose, where do they come from and how do they show up for you. 

 

Session two 

We will work together to explore the link between, thoughts, emotions and actions. 

We will explore a framework to help you to recognise and understand your emotions. 

 

Session three 

We will look at the stories (good and not so good) that you tell yourself. 

We will uncover your emotional triggers, examine what drives them and what you can do to take control.
